Hertz Graduate Fellowship Award 2011-2012
The annual competition for Graduate Fellowships begins with the application period which opens each year in August at which time a deadline consistent with those of NSF and other fellowship granting organizations will be posted. Only those applications which are complete, with all supporting materials and documents provided (including Reference Reports) by the posted deadline will be assured of full consideration by the Foundation. Untimely or incompletely-submitted applications will be entertained only at the Foundation’s discretion and convenience.
Each year’s competition concludes at the end of the following March, at which time the Foundation’s Board of Directors determines the most highly qualified Fellowship applicants and the number of new Fellowships which available resources will be able to support.
All Fellowship applicants are notified by mail of the Foundation’s action on their application on or before April 1 of each year.
The Graduate Fellowship Award is based on merit (not need) and consists of a cost-of-education allowance and a personal-support stipend.
The cost-of-education allowance is accepted by all of the tenable schools in lieu of all fees and tuition. Hertz Fellows therefore have no liability for any ordinary educational costs, regardless of their choice among tenable schools.
The Hertz Foundation Fellowship application will be available for the academic year 2011-2012 by August 16, 2010.
Deadline For Submission is October 29, 2010 - 11:59 pm, Pacific Time.
Reference Reports must be received by the Foundation by Monday, November 1, 2010.

I got this programme attractive to fulfill my carrier development plan.
I am a monitoring and Evaluation expert at ministry of federal affairs, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The ministry works in four different areas, coordinating multi-sectoral support offered to newly emerging regions to make the development and beneficiary from equitable, to develop the peace culture and prevent conflict among different groups, to develop tolerance and respect among different religious groups and to make smooth the interaction and relation between governments and institutions at different level.
In all these efforts, the monitoring and evaluation team work is crucial. To develop my professional carrier, I am looking for short term training. I think You will consider my request.

I’m Assefa Birhie form Ethiopia and I am working in government organization and I want to take short and long term training in related to my job because it is important to develop my skill to develop my country so if you give any training please give the chance. Currently I am working on development planning and federal budget preparation.

I am Senarath from sri Lanka. I have 23 years experience in malaria control in Sri Lanka. I am attached to the National Malaria control programme in the country.I have a PhD holder in malaria epidemiology. I am also an expert in vector control in mosquito-borne diseases including IRS and LLIN/ITN. I am looking for a short term scholarship in malaria in any country for carrier development and assignment as a short term job. So please kindly help me to find and I should be grateful to you if you can help me on this matter.
