How can i parcipate?
January 27th, 2011 at 11:26 am
Throughout my lifetime, I have come across a countless number of remarkable people. I have learned from their mistakes and grown from my own. Few of those people are still impactful on my life today. Based on my past encounters and experiences, I believe these people would have an endless amount of opinions about me as a person and most of all, a friend.
Since I was a very young girl, I have been continuously reminded about how blunt, straightforward and ingenuous I am. Many of my friends have come to me asking for advice and opinions on their personal dilemmas and they don’t always receive the answer they wanted to hear. Honesty is the most beneficial way to answer someone when they need you most. Two of my closest friends have gone through harsh, emotional break-ups with their significant others. When they came to me and asked for my opinions and advice on the subject, I continued with my honesty and told them what they needed to hear, not what they wanted to hear. In the end, they both came out of each relationship with more knowledge and insight than they had before.
Along with my honesty and what may seem as me being insensitive, I truly am a person who cares deeply for my friends and my loved ones. I have been told that I am a devoted, passionate friend and overall human being. Selfish people do not gain any kind of satisfaction in life. The most satisfying aspect of life is knowing that I have the desire to try and impact a person in a way that no one else has. I strive to make a difference in peoples lives and I long to help others who want to be helped.
Lastly, I am most frequently referred to as being a unique, free spirited person. One of my closest friends once said, “ You make your own decisions based upon what you think is right, not what others think is right.” Too many people in the world today are quick to convert and follow the ideals of others. This is the reason why it has become difficult to find individuals who are unique and free spirited. I have always strived to be different and unique from my peers. The way you dress, speak and your overall appearance is not what makes you a unique individual. What makes a human being unique is how they treat others, the overall actions they take and the way they view the world. There are too many life-changing opportunities in the world to ignore and if you choose to be a close-minded, predictable person, many of these opportunities will pass you by.
I am not a perfect daughter, friend or person, but overall, I believe I am a genuine caring person who thirsts to make others blissful. The many people who I have learned from and have grown up with have impacted me to be the person that I am today. From their mistakes and their life challenges, I have discovered the type of person that I want to be. Through my honesty, caring personality and my overall free spirited mind, I have finally come to terms with who I am today.
