Question by ^(0,o)^: What decent schools offer full ride scholarships based on merit?
Or at least very large scholarships?
I am in the top 1-2% of my class and participate in a variety of extracurricular activities.
I know that top schools such as the Ivy League don’t offer any merit based scholarships and that I don’t want to go to a mediocre school that I know I could go to for free. So, what lies between these two extremes? Where do the big merit scholarships lie?

Your major is just as important as where you get your degree. A free “mediocre” school can mean not having 100,000 in debt.

There are colleges that offer guaranteed scholarships based on merit. Try going here:

With your grades you will have a good chance at winning lots of academic scholarships if you put in the time and hard work, so don’t rule those out. Good luck!
