Why is it racist for there to be a college fund for white people, but the UNCF isn’t?
Problem by Deo Vindice: Why is it racist for there to be a school fund for white men and women, but the UNCF is not?
I had recently been studying scholarships and a single program I came across, which naturally I’m inapplicable for, was the United Negro University Fund (UNCF). A lot of men and women say that it can be racist for white individuals to have these kind of privileges and I basically will not realize why.
For case in point, if I desired to develop an all-white university, I would be a racist. But what about the truth that there is a black school in Florida? Which is just not appropriate!
So, I would prefer my issue to be answered without an additional question or a lame comment. It just doesn’t make perception because we’re all Us citizens and I even though we’re all equal. What is likely on right here??
I didn’t block the word subsequent to United on the very first paragraph. Apparently, the Yahoo company thinks it really is racist.

there are no “black schools”, they have been historically black during segregation but now everyone is in a position to attend those schools. black colleges dont exist so niether ought to white schools all universities are built-in even if the college has a bulk race currently being black or white it built-in. an white ppl do qualify for UNCF scholarships.
the scholarships go towards historically black colleges so you would have to go to one particular to get it
whites attend historically black colleges all the time.
this is a truly very good HBCU (historically black higher education) with plenty of white ppl

An all-black college would be as racist as an all-white college.

You can apply, just don’t tell them your race.
If they ask then sue.

If they accept public or government funds then you can apply; however, if there are private scholarships, you have to meet the eligibility requirements. But as to the question, yes, I think it would be racist and the title appears to be as well, but you have to take into account the historical context.

intruder said exactly what I was about to say. There is NO COLLEGE in America that is ALL BLACK. None. You have “Historically Black” colleges but there are not all black. Also these college funds and free money are to encourage more blacks to go to college. Whites make up the majority in college so the free money is used to encourage minorities.

My son is a white male and I have been unable to find any scholarships to help us afford college. If he was hispanic or black there is a lot more scholarships available. This is clearly racists and unfair.
