The GET Foundation Scholarship Program is offered for the year 2011/12 to Hong Kong Students to pursue undergraduate studies in an accredited four-year university/college in the United States

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program 2011
College Bound. Community Minded.

If those words describe you, we can help. The Buick Achievers scholarship program, funded by the GM Foundation, is designed to help students who are leaders in both the classroom and their communities, but who may not have the financial means to attend college. The scholarship program will award 100 scholarships for up to $25,000 per year and 1,000 scholarships for $2,000 per year, renewable for four years.

The Buick Achievers Scholarship program is open to first-time college freshman, who plan to major in one of the following: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or Design, and have an interest in a career in the automotive or related industries.

Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, participation and leadership in community and school activities, work experience, educational and career goals, academic achievement, unusual circumstances and other criteria, such as, being a first-generation college student, female, minority, military veteran or a dependent of military personnel.

If you have the passion to succeed – especially in fields of study important to the automotive and related industries, the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is looking for you.

General Motors Endowed Scholarship

Criteria

Students must be one of the following:

  1. A minority or female employee of General Motors (including individuals on leave of absence or layoff)
  2. The minority spouse of a minority or female employee
  3. The female or minority child of a minority or female employee.

The student must submit a completed 2010-11 General Motors scholarship application (available at the Financial Aid office), and have a letter of verification of employment sent to the Financial Aid office. The verification letter should be sent by the Personnel Division at General Motor’s local operation. Deadline for letters and applications is June 1, 2010 for Fall 2010 semester or academic year (2010-11) scholarship consideration. The deadline for Spring 2011 semester applications is November 30, 2010. General Motors states that the maximum award that an individual may receive is $2,500/year. Further, a student may only receive this scholarship for a maximum of eight semesters, and the scholarship is limited to undergraduate students only. File a 2010-11 GM Scholarship application.
